portrayal, is a man who was known as "The Gallant Cavalier," and who
signed some of his personal correspondance..."The Knight Of The
Golden Spurs," was the Army of Northern Virginia's (Robert E. Lee's
Army) Confederate Cavalry Commander, Major-General James Ewell Brown
(J.E.B.) Stuart!

Festival June
18-27 This is the
annual Gettysburg Arts and Music Festival This summer, the Festival offers more than 800 artists
and performers for 100 spectacular events, more than half of which
are free and open to the public. This year, the Gettysburg Festival
and History Meets the Arts have combined forces. Come for music,
dance, artist, writers, and culinary arts.

Re-enactment July 2, 3, 4, and 5, 2010 For four days, reenactors will recreate the Battle of
Gettysburg. This event takes place on private property and is
privately run. This is not the only time that living history is
available in Gettysburg, but it is the most dramatic event of the
summer. Throughout the summer, you will be able to see living
history demonstrations on the National Park and throughout the town.

to Saturday, August 14, 2010 Includes a full range of FREE Ranger conducted
programs, walks, tours, campfire programs, living history programs,
children's programs and Battle Walks offered everyday through August

World
War II Eisenhower Days Sept.
18-19, 2010 A living
history encampment at the Eisenhower National Historic Site.
Featuring Allied soldiers, a German camp, and World War II vintage
jeeps and trucks and USO Dance (off-site). Saturday, from 9 to 5;
Sunday from 9 to 4. Included in site admission. Shuttle service and,
weather permitting, on-site parking available this weekend
only.
