If you do recognize this, then come help us pipe in the Haggis, Toast the Lassies, sample Scottish fare, and honor one of the great poets of all time.

$47 per guest for a rousing, carousing time celebrating the great Scots poet, Robert Burns 1759–1796.

Innkeepers Winter Civil War Ball January 25, 2014

For dancers, romantics, and Civil War history lovers!

Don't miss this opportunity to experience a 19th Century style Civil War ball with a dance master who calls the dances (and teaches them), dancers flaunting their finest ball gowns and uniforms, and live period music.

Join other dancers with all levels of experience for the dance lessons at 10 AM. Then spend the afternoon shopping for those last minute white gloves and cameos. At 6 PM, we start to seat the dancers for dinner. Then clear the floor! The Grand March begins at 8 PM! Lively circle dances, period squares, reels, and waltzes will have you sailing across the floor and hopping to the music, even if you have never tried anything like this in your life.

If you don't have period clothing, you can rent what you need. If you don't want to rent the first time, you can come in formalwear. Give it a try. You will love it and so will your partner. Create a memory! Go to a Civil War Ball to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

Tickers are $75 per guest. This ball is sponsored by the Inns of the Gettysburg Area for our bed and breakfast guests.
