We do a different program every day of your stay (we can't do musket firing every day - we have so many other fine and fun programs!) Civil War Music Could the soldiers fight if they didn't sing? Rick Garland arrives as JEB Stuart, the musical cavalry commander. Infantry Find out about the life of an infantryman. We dress a guest in uniform with all the equipment. You may also learn to fire a Civil War musket. Michael Vice teaches musket skills. Explore the world of artillery ammunition Learn about the wonderful scientific inventions that led to the evolution of a wide variety of Civil War artillery, each with different strengths, and therefore different uses on the battlefield. David Illingsworth shows how it works. Cavalry See how the cavalry trained for battle. Meet Bill King and his cavalry horse Dillon. Dillon lives at the inn and always enjoys visitors,. On special occasions, Dr. William Pulig demonstrates the "Riding at the Heads" course on his horse, Kentucky. Civil War Medicine Learn about Civil War Medicine from Dr. William Pulig, a modern day physician- Civil War re-enactor who brings his 19th Century surgery kit and explains what the doctors really could and couldn't do during the Civil War. The South Cavalry Battlefield Learn about this little know section of the National Park. Battlefield Bed and Breakfast is located on the South Cavalry Battlefield. Our rooms are named in honor of the troops who fought here. Learn about the action here at the southern end of the battlefield. David Illingworth tells the story of the action on the inn property. .
