Looking for pet-friendly lodging in Gettysburg? If you're searching for “dog friendly hotels near Gettysburg” or "where to stay in Gettysburg with my dog," you've probably noticed most options confine your pet to a room with a small patch of grass out back. There's a better choice.

What Makes Battlefield Bed & Breakfast Different

We are a historic farmhouse on 30 acres, with lawns for running, trails for walking, and an actual dog park. After driving hours to get here, your dog can stretch their legs and settle in, not pace around a hotel room.

When you check in, you will find dog treats, dog towels, and dog blankets waiting for your dog.

We don’t have a limit on the number of dogs you bring because we trust our dog owners to have good judgment about the dogs they are bringing.

And we don't charge pet fees!

When Guests Search for a Pet-Friendly Bed and Breakfast in Gettysburg

People choose us when they want something beyond the standard hotel stay. We host history buffs, couples on weekend getaways, and families who want their dog along for the trip.

The historic farmhouse has been here since 1809 and saw the Battle of Gettysburg. Your dog will appreciate the outdoor space. You will appreciate the unique historic setting, attentive staff, morning complimentary history programs, and delicious breakfasts.

Is Battlefield Bed & Breakfast Right for Your Pet?

Before you book, consider whether this environment works for your dog:

  • Space and stimulation: Open areas and wildlife. Anxious dogs or excessive barkers may find it stressful.

  • Social setting: You'll share the property with other guests. Your dog needs to be comfortable around new people if you would like to relax with your dog in the common areas.

  • House manners: Antique furnishings require housetrained, non-destructive dogs.

  • Health requirements: Current vaccinations and flea/tick prevention are required so your dog can safely share space with other dogs.

When comparing options, ask yourself: Does my dog need a quick overnight stop, or would they benefit from actual outdoor space?

Contact us to discuss your dog and your dates. We'll tell you honestly if we're a good fit.
