The General Merritt’s Headquarters Suite pays tribute to Brigadier General Wesley Merritt, the young cavalry commander who, along with 4,000 cavalrymen and horses, spent the night on this farm on July 3, 1863.
Spanning the entire upper floor of the original 1809 fieldstone farmhouse, this two-bedroom suite offers a unique and spacious retreat steeped in history. Perfect for families or groups, it combines modern comfort with a rich connection to Gettysburg’s storied past.
The large master bedroom has a king bed, gas fireplace, and sitting area. The cozy second bedroom has a full bed. The spacious bathroom is accessible from either bedroom from the landing at the top of the private stairs leading to this second-floor suite.
